However, I'm going in a different direction.

Still, you raise good additional points for why the story that the stars were very close to the Earth during the Genesis week of creation, and then migrated to their current positions, isn't even remotely viable. That's because most stars are so far away that they wouldn't have had enough time to reach their current positions in the 6000 years that the Universe has been in existence (according to Biblical history) unless they'd been speeding away at much MORE than the speed of light. And that, as you note in your hypothesis (3), is impossible.whabbearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02835582600900388168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3883924364197599095.post-22541241245818536032010-05-16T09:50:40.324-07:002010-05-16T09:50:40.324-07:00Guesses:

It's hard to slow billions and billions of stars down once you've got them all moving away from Earth at a speed approaching c.

(2) lack of red shift? The stars we can see are in our galaxy, and they are not moving away from Earth at a speed approaching c.

(3) whatever that relativity concept is called where the faster two things are moving relative to each other the more the required energy increases, eXpecially as their relative velocity approaches c?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3883924364197599095.post-81631165579936969042010-05-14T12:32:37.352-07:002010-05-14T12:32:37.352-07:00Whew....after I posted my comment I thought it was...Whew....after I posted my comment I thought it was further out into space. It is hard to take myself away from what I have been taught (religious) to look at this from the prospective that you are taking us. That would be the "very smart perspective" into space. Ok, I will wait for your next installment.Gloriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13663530860827801718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3883924364197599095.post-24088478867583192592010-05-14T10:05:15.318-07:002010-05-14T10:05:15.318-07:00JM: Nope, the problem with Genesis stems from goin...JM: Nope, the problem with Genesis stems from going further out in space, not further on in biblical history!whabbearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02835582600900388168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3883924364197599095.post-51919549181064156662010-05-14T07:52:30.936-07:002010-05-14T07:52:30.936-07:00Now I am second guessing myself.
